New hat. For the past two years my team at Web Systems has been building the platform behind Precision Telemed, a US telehealth clinic. Since September I have been with the company as CTO. Part-time and remote, from Łódź.
In practice not much changes. I still care about uptime, security and getting the right data to providers on time. The difference is that now I also review my own company’s invoices. (Don’t worry, JP still approves them.)
What is on my plate: the architecture of the platform we built from scratch, security and the technical side of HIPAA, and integrations with pharmacies and labs. Next up is AI that gives providers time back from paperwork.
Web Systems remains my main job. I still run the company, and my team keeps doing the building. The difference is that I now also see the platform from the client’s side: as the person accountable for it, not only the one delivering it. That is a useful lesson for a software house, and I will probably write about it.
